Peter Van den Begin (Fair Trade) takes on the lead role and plays Ed Bex, a man with an eating disorder: as soon as he puts something in his mouth, he sees what happened to it. He uses this special gift in his unusual job: with ‘De Laatste Groet’ he helps relatives to reconstruct the last hours of their loved one who has passed away.
When Inspector Adams finds a body in an airtight bag, he asks Ed for help. Ed hesitates: does he want to use his gift in a murder case? When he does get his teeth into the case, he gets caught up in a mix of absurd situations, personal chaos and buckets of remorse.
The tragicomic thriller was written by screenwriter Malin-Sarah Gozin, known for the series Tabula Rasa and Clan. Gozin also directed the series, together with Hans Vercauter. The series will premiere on Sunday 2 February at the FFO25 in the presence of the cast and directors. Gozin will be honoured with a star on the sea wall for her groundbreaking work as a screenwriter.
From Tuesday 11 February, Dood Spoor can be seen in its entirety on Streamz, later the series will appear weekly on Play4.
