Created and produced by Kourtney Kang, Doogie Kameāloha, M.D. followed the adventures of Lahela "Doogie" Kameāloha (Peyton Elizabeth Lee), a sixteen-year-old girl juggling a burgeoning medical career and teenage life in present-day Hawaii.
The cast of the series, a reboot of the hit medical drama Doogie Howser, M.D. from the 1990s starring Neil Patrick Harris, also featured Jason Scott Lee, Kathleen Rose Perkins, Matthew Sato, Wes Tian, Emma Meisel, Mapuana Makia, and Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman. Ronny Chieng, Alex Aiono and the late Al Harrington had recurring roles in the first season.
Along with Kang, Melvin Mar, Jake Kasdan, Dayna Bochco, Jesse Bochco, Erin O'Malley, Matt Kuhn and Justin McEwen produced.
