HBO Max shares official trailer for crime series Duster

HBO Max has released the official trailer for Duster, the explosive crime drama series from J.J. Abrams. Set in the Southwest in the 1970s, Duster explores the life of a gutsy getaway driver (Josh Holloway) for a growing criminal syndicate (led by Ezra Saxton, played by Keith David) that goes from dangerous to wildly, stupidly dangerous when a tenacious young cop (Rachel Hilson) comes to town to take down his crime family.

“What do you think about violence?” David’s Ezra Saxton asks at the beginning of the trailer, followed by the sound of revving engines and screeching tires. From there, things only get wilder.

In addition to Holloway, Hilton, and David, the cast also includes Sydney Elisabeth, Greg Grunberg, Camille Guaty, Asivak Koostachin, Adriana Aluna Martinez, and Benjamin Charles Watson.

The first two episodes are written by Abrams and LaToya Morgan; the first two episodes are directed and produced by Steph Green; the series is produced by Abrams and Rachel Rusch Rich for Bad Robot; and produced by Morgan for TinkerToy Productions.

The eight-episode season, produced in partnership with Warner Bros. Television, debuts on Thursday, May 15, with new episodes weekly through July 3. In the Netherlands, Duster will be available one day later each week, starting on Friday, May 16.
