The reboot follows two of America's wealthiest families, the Carringtons and the Colbys, while they fight for control over their fortunes and their children. The series focuses on Fallon Carrington (Elizabeth Gillies), the daughter of billionaire Blake Carrington (Grant Show), and her former stepmother Cristal (Nathalie Kelley), a Spanish woman who marries this WASP family and America's most powerful class. .
The CW has announced last Tuesday that a fourth season will follow. The first two seasons of Dynasty can be seen on Netflix outside the United States. The deal between The CW and Netflix changed in 2019, and The CW also has its own streaming service (only available in the US), which makes it unsure if season three will release on Netflix. The streaming service has already announced that the third season will see the series in mid-2020, but has still not announced an exact start date.
