Elementary - Season 6 (DVD)
The interaction between Holmes and Joan Watson also reaches a climax in this season of Elementary. And now again we see the superhuman skills of Holmes' mind, albeit in a different guise. We know Elementary as a series that is well put together. Strong characters that regularly clash and thus provide the necessary tension and intrigue. The sixth season is clearly the strongest in my opinion, which is mainly due to the tension within the character of Sherlock Holmes. The interaction between Holmes and Joan Watson also reaches a climax in this season of Elementary. And now again we see the superhuman skills of Holmes' mind, albeit in a different guise.

What happens when Holmes seems to lose his powers? When his ingenious mind stops drawing lines between the most unlikely things and when he can no longer see the connections? Is he still Sherlock Holmes? This season welcomes a new crisis that puts an interesting twist on the story of Sherlock Holmes and Joan Watson. After a concussion, Holmes's genius brain suddenly fails him. How can someone who lives for his brain and puts everything into feeding this brilliant mind continue if he forgets why he walked into a room, something that has never happened to him before? Can Watson help him not fall back into his addictive habits?
After several seasons of tension about Moriarty, the writers have finally decided not to keep us waiting from this season onwards but to come up with a redeeming answer. Are we as viewers satisfied with that? Or did the writers opt for a smooth but highly unlikely ending? This ensures that so many new scenarios are open for the next season, because after chasing the same villain for several seasons, we are ready for a new arc of tension.

As far as I'm concerned, this sixth season is a wonderful highlight of this series. The DVD certainly offers some extra content for the real fan. My favorite will always be the deleted scenes. Elementary: Case In Point is also certainly a standout. Here the writers of the series speak and talk about their favorite episode of the season. I recommend purchasing the DVD as a true fan of this series.
After this season, I am very curious to see what the seventh and final season of Elementary will offer us. The story is almost over, will they go out with a bang or will it end with a fizzle?

About the writer, Karzal

Mike (1995) has been a member of MySeries since 2016 and is mainly active on the English version of the site. Since 2018, he has been actively translating news articles, columns, reviews and basically everything that ends up on the Dutch site. The original articles, columns and reviews were actually written by others. During the week Mike can be found at IKEA, where he is a national systems specialist and occasionally also in the classroom to teach an English lesson. In addition, Mike logically enjoys watching series and has actually been spoon-fed this from an early age. The genre doesn't matter, there is a place for everything in the otherwise busy life.
