Legally Blonde prequel series reveals first photo of Lexi Minetree as Elle Woods

In the photo, Lexi Minetree makes her official debut as Elle Woods in the Legally Blonde prequel series Elle. You can tell they've gone back in time, as the teen is using her phone to talk to her friends via a landline, as many did in the '90s. And in true Elle Woods style, she's wearing a pink hoodie and is surrounded by her pink sheets.

The series from creator Laura Kittrell follows the titular high school student as we learn more about the life experiences that shaped her into the iconic young woman in the first Legally Blonde film.

The series also stars June Diane Raphael as Elle’s mother, Eva; Tom Everett Scott as Elle’s father, Wyatt; Gabrielle Policano as Liz, who has been described as the anti-Elle Woods; Jacob Moskovitz as Miles, the school’s star athlete who is enamored with Elle; and Chandler Kinney as Kimberly, a sharp senior who isn’t a fan of Elle.

Showrunners Kittrell and Caroline Dries are producing alongside film franchise lead Reese Witherspoon and Hello Sunshine’s Lauren Neustadter and the films’ producer Marc Platt. Jason Moore is directing the first two episodes. Elle is produced by Hello Sunshine and Amazon MGM Studios.
