Toks Olagundoye cast in Frasier sequel

The follow-up series to Frasier for Paramount+ has added Toks Olagundoye (The Neighbors) to its regular cast.

The comedy series from writers Chris Harris and Joe Cristalli is produced by Kelsey Grammer reprising his character, psychiatrist and radio host Frasier Crane. In the sequel, Frasier (Grammer) heads to another town with new challenges, new relationships, and an old dream to finally fulfill.

Olagundoye (pictured) plays Olivia, head of the psychology department at an Ivy League college. She exudes confidence, warmth and professionalism - in other words, the opposite of how completely unhinged she feels inside. Olivia has to fight daily with her colleague (and Frasier's old college friend) Alan (Nicholas Lyndhurst), who resents Olivia's seniority towards him. The two disagree on almost everything, but they admire Frasier and they both hope to use him for their own ends.

In addition to Grammer and Lyndhurst, Olagundoye joins previously announced regular cast members Jack Cutmore-Scott as Frasier and Lilith's son Freddy, Jess Salgueiro as Freddy's roommate Eve, and Anders Keith as Niles and Daphne's son David.

Harris and Cristalli co-produce the series with Grammer, Tom Russo and Jordan McMahon. Frasier is produced by CBS Studios in association with Grammer's Grammnet NH Productions.

Olagundoye is known for her regular roles on ABC's The Neighbors and Castle and her roles on Veep and Shameless (US). The next role is reserved for Paramount+'s new series Fatal Attraction. She previously starred in the pilots for Career Opportunities in Murder & Mayhem for Hulu, alongside Mandy Patinkin, and the ABC reboot of L.A. Law, opposite Blair Underwood. Other recent credits include ABC's The Rookie and Disney+ series Big Shot (2021) by David E. Kelley.
