During the town's Fourth of July picnic, Chloe surprises Jax with one of his favorite desserts flown in from Paris just for the occasion. Monica makes an excuse to avoid joining the family in a champagne toast, then drops a bombshell on her startled husband. Roy begins to make some headway with Lucas while a disapproving Tony looks on. Benny warns Sonny that he needs to return to Port Charles sooner rather than later. As the hotel manager pounds on the door, Lucky and Nikolas scramble to make the dead man in the bed appear to be simply passed out. A.J. begins to trade recklessly on the foreign stock markets and cheerfully informs Dara that he's out to lose his entire fortune. Though Nikolas balks at stashing Ted's body, Lucky reminds his brother that Emily will take the fall unless they hide the corpse. Meanwhile, Elizabeth helps Emily back to her own bedroom at the mansion but urges her traumatized friend to go immediately to the women's clinic for a morning after pill and some tests.
