Girls renewed with 3rd season

HBO has renewed Girls with a third season.

Though the network doesn't want to confirm it, Lena Duham told Alec Baldwin the following: "We’re starting season three at the end of March. I’m so excited".

At the moment, Girls is in halfway through its second season, which started on January 13th. The show recently won two Golden Globe Awards for Best TV Comedy and Best Comedy Actrice.

Dunham, who also writes screenplays for Girls, said the new season will be filmed at the Silvercup Studios in Gotham. The same place Baldwin's show 30 Rock has been filmed. 30 Rock is ending its last season right now on NBC.
