Cory Monteith Died of a "Mixed Drug Toxicity" Including Alcohol and Heroin

It's been a few days since we learned of Glee star Cory Monteith's death, but I'm still pretty devastated about the whole thing.

The results are unsurprising, but that doesn't make them any less sad; Glee star Cory Monteith died of a “mixed drug toxicity, involving heroin and alcohol,” according to an autopsy report conducted by the British Columbia coroner’s office. “There is no evidence to suggest Mr. Monteith’s death was anything other than a most tragic accident,” the coroner’s office said in a statement Tuesday.

The 31-year-old was found dead in his Vancouver, British Columbia, hotel room on Saturday. He was believed to be alone when he died.
