Prime Video unveils trailer for highly anticipated Good Omens season three

The fantasy series Good Omens is nearing its end: the third season will consist of a single 90-minute episode, concluding the story once and for all.

The story picks up after the events of Good Omens season two, where the centuries-old friendship between angel Aziraphale and demon Crowley was put under significant strain.

Good Omens

Aziraphale, played by Michael Sheen, has accepted a high position in heaven as Supreme Archangel and is tasked with overseeing the Second Coming. Meanwhile, Crowley, portrayed by David Tennant, remains on earth, further complicating their relationship.

In addition to the two lead actors, several familiar faces return, including Doon Mackichan, Gloria Obianyo, Liz Carr, Paul Chahidi, Quelin Sepulveda, and Derek Jacobi. New to the cast is Bilal Hasna, who takes on the role of Jesus.

The production of this final chapter experienced some delays, partly due to allegations against creator Neil Gaiman, which he denies. Although he co-wrote the finale, he later withdrew from the production. As a result, it was decided to restructure the third season into one long, concluding episode instead of multiple episodes.

With this finale, Good Omens promises to deliver a personal and emotional conclusion to the story of Aziraphale and Crowley, where the fate of the world and their complex relationship take center stage.

This feels a bit contradictory. It's good that Good Omens is getting a proper conclusion, but one 90-minute episode sounds a bit tight for such a big story.
