The Fall of the House of Usher, the eight-part limited series from Mike Flanagan (The Haunting of Hill House) based on the work of Edgar Allan Poe, is coming to Netflix in October.
Starring Bruce Greenwood (The Resident), who replaced Frank Langella in April 2022 after Langella was fired following a misconduct investigation, the series has been described as an epic tale of greed, horror and tragedy. Poe's short story The Fall of the House of Usher, which serves as the basis for the series, contains themes of madness, family, isolation and identity.

It's been a long road for the series, which was halfway through production when Langella was fired and his scenes had to be reshot.
In The Fall of the House of Usher on Netflix, ruthless siblings Roderick and Madeline Usher have built Fortunato Pharmaceuticals into a rich, privileged, and powerful empire. But secrets from the past come to light when the heirs of the Usher dynasty begin to die at the hands of a mysterious woman from their childhood.
The cast also includes Carla Gugino (The Haunting of Bly Manor), Mary McDonnell (Major Crimes), Carl Lumbly (Supergirl), Mark Hamill (The Mandalorian), Michael Trucco (Disjointed), T'Nia Miller (The Peripheral), Paola Nuñez (Resident Evil (2022)), Henry Thomas (The Haunting of Hill House), Kyleigh Curran (Secrets of Sulfur Springs), Samantha Sloyan (The Midnight Club), Rahul Kohli (Midnight Mass), Kate Siegel (The Haunting of Hill House), Sauriyan Sapkota (The Midnight Club), Zach Gilford (Friday Night Lights), Willa Fitzgerald (Reacher), Katie Parker (The Midnight Club), Malcolm Goodwin (iZombie), Crystal Balint (The Bletchley Circle: San Francisco) , Aya Furukawa (The Midnight Club), Daniel Jun (The Expanse), Matt Biedel (Narcos: Mexico), Ruth Codd (The Midnight Club), Annabeth Gish (The X Files), Igby Rigney (The Midnight Club) and Robert Longstreet (I'm a Virgo).
