The project reunites Jackson (pictured left) and Albrecht (pictured far right), the former CEO and President of Starz who greenlit the Power series and has spawned three successful spinoffs to date.
“I am excited to join forces again with Chris, we have had great success together with the Power Universe. I look forward to bringing more premium content to underserved audiences and doing it with my friend Chris makes it that much better,” Jackson tells Deadline in an exclusive statement.
“50 is the real deal. He is a true creative and business force as well as a great partner. It has been fun watching him evolve into a globally successful media entrepreneur, and I am grateful for the opportunity to work with him again,” Albrecht shared.
Albrecht and Granier recently founded Rubicon Global Media, which brings together leading intellectual property from Latin America and Spain and transforms it into story-driven content with multinational appeal. They are working with Secuoya Studios, the leading production studio and distribution company for Spanish-language content, and Mexico-based BTF Media, among others.
