Starring Jeff Daniels and Maura Tierney, American Rust: Broken Justice (new season two title) takes us back to the fictional town of Buell, Pennsylvania. Del Harris (Daniels) and Grace Poe (Tierney) try to rebuild their lives after the harrowing events of season one.

The second season of American Rust kicks off with all ten episodes on Thursday, March 28, exclusively on Prime Video in the US, UK, Germany, Australia, New Zealand and Canada. In addition, Amazon has added eight new cast members for the second season.
Season two begins with a series of seemingly unrelated murders, hinting at a much larger conspiracy that threatens everyone in this small, tight-knit town.
American Rust has quite a history. The series was initially ordered from USA Network in November 2017, but a few months later the network opted not to continue with it. At the time, sources said the order was contingent on finding a big star for the lead role, which did not happen.
The series then moved to Showtime, with Daniels as lead actor and executive producer, where it aired for one season. The network announced in January 2022 that it would not be renewed. Freevee picked up the drama in June 2022 after being canceled by Showtime.
Based on the critically acclaimed novel by Philipp Meyer, the first season of American Rust premiered on Showtime and explores the threadbare American Dream in a Rust Belt town in southwestern Pennsylvania through the eyes of Police Chief Del Harris. Harris is challenged when the son of the woman he loves (Tierney) is accused of murder and he must decide what he is willing to do to protect him.
The cast for season two includes Luna Lauren Velez (Dexter) as Detective Angela Burgos, Marc Menchaca (Ozark) as Vic Walker, Nick Sandow (Orange Is the New Black) as Mike Orr, Britian Seibert (A Murder at the End of the World) as Cynthia Frazier, Christopher Denham (Billions) as Russell Wolff, Amelia Workman (Platonic) as Rinna Bransford, Leon Addison Brown (The Knick) as Chief Bolt and Sara Lindsey (High Desert) as Maya Park.
American Rust: Broken Justice is produced by Dan Futterman, Adam Rapp, Jeff Daniels, Paul Martino, Michael De Luca, Ivan Schneeberg, David Fortier, Nick Nantell, Katie O'Connell Marsh and Elisa Ellis.
American Rust: Broken Justice is produced and distributed worldwide by Boat Rocker.
