While the staff at Miami's busiest Level 1 Trauma Center handles medical emergencies, Pulse sees young ER doctor Danny Simms (Willa Fitzgerald) unexpectedly promoted to chief resident amid the fallout from her own provocative romantic relationship. The series was created by Zoe Robyn.

Jack Bannon, Jessie T. Usher, Chelsea Muirhead, Daniela Nieves and Jessy Yates (pictured from left to right) join the previously announced Fitzgerald, Colin Woodell and Justina Machado in the drama series from Robyn and veteran Carlton Cuse.
Bannon will play Tom Cole. Tom is a surgical resident and a witty and charming Brit who came to Miami for the excellent trauma program, but also for the lifestyle Miami offers.
Usher plays Sam Elijah, a third-year ER doctor. Born and raised in an outcrop of Florida, Elijah is a thoughtful and altruistic doctor who, beneath his calm and deliberate demeanor, has a competitive edge.
Muirhead is Sophie Chan. Sophie is a surgical intern, smart and skilled and willing to endure anything in her quest to become a great surgeon.
Nieves plays Camila Perez. Camila is a third-year medical student who, despite long hours and an endless workload, always remains optimistic.
Yates plays Harper, a second-year emergency room doctor and wheelchair user, who is confident, introspective and the younger sister of Danny Simms.
Robyn and Cuse serve as showrunners and executive producers. Bradley Garner, Emma Forman and Michael Klick also produce. Kate Dennis is the director and executive producer of episodes 1 and 2.
Bannon played Alfred Pennyworth in the EPIX/HBO Max series Pennyworth: The Origin of Batman's Butler and recently completed the six-part series The Darkness, directed by Lasse Hallström. His other series roles include the Italian series Medici: Masters of Florence and the British ITV series Endeavour.
Usher can be seen as A-Train in Prime Video's hit series The Boys, a role he reprized in the spin-off Gen V. He recently guest-starred in AMC's Tales of the Walking Dead and had a recurring role in MacGyver (2016 ) from CBS.
Muirhead's most recent series role is as Yan Mi in Cinemax/HBO Max's Warrior (2019), based on the writings of Bruce Lee.
Nieves recently appeared as the lead actress in Peacock's YA series Vampire Academy. Her other television credits include a recurring role on FX's Snowfall and CBS's All Rise.
Yates has guest-starred on series such as CBS' Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and ABC's Speechless, and will soon be seen in the Apple TV+ series Me.
