Chicago Fire newcomer Jocelyn Hudon has been promoted to series regular for season thirteen.

Hudon joined the cast of Chicago Fire season twelve last April as Lyla Novak, a new paramedic at Fire Station 51 who initially enjoys working freelance but reluctantly agrees to join Violet (Hanako Greensmith) as an official part of the team.

In a short time, Lyla has proven herself to be an integral member of the paramedics with leadership skills that will go far at 51. She also realizes that standing still and being part of something big feels pretty nice, too.

Chicago Fire follows the professional and personal lives of firefighters, rescuers and paramedics from Firehouse 51 in the Windy City. The current actors on the series are Taylor Kinney, David Eigenberg, Eamonn Walker, Miranda Rae Mayo, Christian Stolte, Hanako Greensmith and Joe Minoso.

The One Chicago series is produced by Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television Studios, a division of Universal Studios Group.

Earlier this year, Hudon was nominated for Best Actress at the 2024 Mammoth Film Festival for her leading role in The Fall. She can soon be seen in the upcoming action thriller Degenerate alongside Emile Hirsch and David Keith, which will be released in theaters later this year.

She is best known for her role as 'Abby' in the FX series The Strain, created by Guillermo del Toro. She also appeared in the FX series Dave (2020), NBC's The Irrational and Apple TV+'s Acapulco. She is also known for her appearances in series such as Criminal Minds, 9-1-1 and The Rookie: Feds.
