Annaleigh Ashford and Dennis Quaid lead the Happy Face cast, supplemented by regulars James Wolk, Tamera Tomakili, Khiyla Aynne and Benjamin Mackey.

Happy Face, produced by CBS Studios, is inspired by the true story of Melissa Moore; the Happy Face podcast from iHeartPodcasts and Moore; and the autobiography Shattered Silence, written by Moore with M. Bridget Cook.
At the age of fifteen, Moore discovered that her beloved father was the prolific serial killer known as Happy Face. As an adult, she changed her name and kept her secret while her father served a life sentence in prison.
Based on Moore's true story, the Paramount+ Original Series follows Melissa (Ashford) and her incarcerated father, known as the Happy Face Killer (Quaid). After decades of no contact, he finally finds a way to insert himself into his daughter's life again.
In a race against time, Melissa must find out whether an innocent man will be put to death for a crime her father committed. Meanwhile, she discovers the impact her father had on the families of his victims and must confront her own identity.
The new crime series will premiere with two episodes on Thursday, March 20. This will be followed by individual episodes on Thursdays ending May 1. A creepy teaser trailer can be seen below.
