The creators of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel are ready to dance again. Prime Video has set a premiere date for Étoile.

Étoile (the French word for star) is the latest series from Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino. The drama follows the dancers and artistic staff of two world-renowned ballet companies—one in New York, one in Paris—as they carry out an ambitious plan to save their legendary institutions: exchanging their most talented stars.

Along with the premiere date, Prime Video released the first photos from the series, which show the dancers in action and the behind-the-scenes characters of their respective companies.

Emmy-winning actor Luke Kirby (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) and Charlotte Gainsbourg (The Pale Blue Eye) lead the cast of Étoile. Lou De Laage, Gideon Glick, David Alvarez, Ivan du Pontavice, Taïs Vinolo, David Haig and Simon Callow also star; Yanic Truesdale has a recurring role.

Prime Video gave the series a straight-to-series order for two seasons in 2023. Étoile is the second ballet-focused series from Sherman-Palladino, who created the beloved (but short-lived) Bunheads for then-ABC Family in 2012.

The eight-episode season premieres as a binge-worthy release on Thursday, April 24. Check out more photos below.
