Trying, one of Apple TV+'s longest-running series, has been renewed for a fifth season.



Starring Rafe Spall and BAFTA nominee Esther Smith, the comedy series sees Nikki (Smith) and Jason (Spall) deal with the fallout when Princess and Tyler’s biological mother, Kat (Charlotte Riley), arrives on their doorstep, unleashing a whirlwind of chaos that upends their established family life.



From Andy Wolton, BBC Studios' Trying follows the couple who struggle to conceive a child at the start of the series and then adopt it. It was one of the first series from Jay Hunt's Apple Europe team and is one of the longest-running on Apple TV+.

The ensemble cast also includes BAFTA Award winner Darren Boyd as Scott, Sian Brooke as Karen, Scarlett Rayner as Princess and Cooper Turner as Tyler.
