Since May 15, BBC First has continued under the name BBC NL. The drama channel will of course remain the destination for top British series and gripping crime stories, but will get a fresher look. The programs will continue to be carefully selected for the Dutch audience and will of course be provided with Dutch subtitles.
To celebrate the launch, BBC NL is going all out. The channel will be showing many new seasons of top series throughout the month of May.
On Thursday 15 May at 9:00 PM, the fifth season of Miss Scarlet - previously Miss Scarlet and the Duke - will start. Victorian detective Eliza Scarlet throws herself into solving mysterious cases, this time together with new inspector Alexander Blake. Afraid you've missed it now? (After all, it's already Friday 16 May). Don't worry... tonight at 11:05 PM, BBC NL will broadcast a repeat of the first episode of season five.
From Wednesday 21 May at 9:00 PM, you can enjoy season five of All Creatures Great and Small (2020), in which the familiar trio of veterinarians return to a war-torn Yorkshire. Audience favourites are also making a comeback: Murdoch Mysteries (season 17), Call the Midwife (season 14), The Chelsea Detective (season three), Darby & Joan (season two) and the BBC's longest-running crime series, Silent Witness, which is back with season 28.
In Belgium, the name BBC First will remain, on which series selected for the Flemish market can be seen.
