The webtoon The Remarried Express, which has been viewed more than 2.6 billion times worldwide, tells the compelling story of Empress Navier. Her life is changed forever when her husband, Emperor Sovieshu, returns home with his mistress and demands a divorce. Determined to preserve her dignity, Navier agrees to the divorce — but on one condition: she agrees to remarry her husband’s rival, the crown prince of the neighboring Western Kingdom.

What follows is a gripping tale of political intrigue, court drama, betrayal, romance and female power, as Navier struggles to regain her lost power and determine her own destiny. The romantic fantasy series features an impressive cast of big Korean stars such as Shin Min-A, Ju Ji-hoon, Lee Jong-suk and Lee Se-young.
Shin Min-A plays the proud and clever Empress Navier, the protagonist who reinvents herself after being betrayed. Ju Ji-hoon plays Emperor Sovieshu of the Eastern Empire, Navier’s husband who betrays her with a mistress. Lee Jong-suk stars as Heinrey, the charming but mysterious Crown Prince of the West, whom Navier wants to remarry. Lee Sey-oung plays Rashta, a former slave who grows up to be Sovieshu’s beloved concubine and sets her sights on the imperial throne.
The series will be written by Yeoh Geena and Hyun Choongyeol, known for The Uncanny Counter, among others. Cho Suwon, director of Still 17 and the popular drama series Pinocchio from 2014, will take on the direction.
