Production on season seven of Virgin River has wrapped, with the romantic series potentially returning later this year.

The time has almost come: Fans of the romantic drama Virgin River only have a few more months to wait before they’re whisked away to the fictional Northern California town once again. Filming for season seven has officially wrapped, and the cast took to social media to celebrate.

Benjamin Hollingsworth (Brady) shared a cheerful post with Kandyse McClure (Kaia) featuring selfies of themselves and colleague Zibby Allen (Brie), with the caption: “First day of summer & last day of filming season 7 of Virgin River ☀️”

Other cast members also shared their farewells: Annette O’Toole (Hope) left the filming location in Canada with a photo of her dog in a duffel bag: “Bye Vancouver!” and Colin Lawrence (Preacher) posted a video message saying goodbye to the season: “And that, my friends, is the end of Season 7 for John ‘Preacher’ Middleton. What can I say? Another great season, in my humble opinion. This is the most fun show I’ve ever worked on. For seven seasons, this has been a blessing. Hopefully there will be more. Get ready for more laughter, more tears – just a lot of emotion.”

Although Netflix has not yet confirmed an official release date, the previous two seasons were released in September 2023 and December 2024. Season seven is therefore expected to hit the streaming service in late 2025.
