The first trailer for Outlander: Blood of My Blood has been revealed, promising two grand love stories that transcend time and generations.



The Outlander prequel, produced by Sony Pictures Television, unfolds from the battlefields of World War I to the rugged Scottish Highlands of the 18th century. In this setting, we follow two destined couples who will do anything to stay together, while unexpected connections intertwine their lives.

The story focuses on the romance between Ellen MacKenzie (Harriet Slater) and Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy), the parents of Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan), and Julia Moriston (Hermione Corfield) and Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine), the parents of Claire Fraser (Caitriona Balfe), Jamie's true love.

The cast also includes Tony Curran as Lord Lovat, Séamus McLean Ross as Colum MacKenzie, Sam Retford as Dougal MacKenzie, Rory Alexander as Murtagh Fitzgibbons Fraser, and Conor MacNeill as Ned Gowan.

Matthew B. Roberts serves as showrunner and executive producer, along with Ronald D. Moore, Maril Davis, and Jim Kohlberg.

Meanwhile, the original Outlander series is also nearing its end: season eight has already finished filming and will definitively wrap up the story, leaving fans with one final "droughtlander" (wait).

Outlander: Blood of My Blood premieres on Friday, August 8th, on Starz. New episodes will be released weekly on Fridays, exclusively through the Starz app and the network's on-demand platforms.
