The announcement about the renewal for Reasonable Doubt comes shortly before the season finale of season three, which will be released on Thursday, November 13. In the third season, viewers followed Jax (Emayatzy Corinealdi) as she tried to exonerate her newest client — Ozzie Edwards (Kyle Bary), a former child star and public favorite now accused of murder.
The case brings with it a web of hangers-on, secrets, and chaos that only Jax seems able to unravel. As the trial draws national attention, Jax faces an ambitious new colleague, Bill Sterling (Joseph Sikora), and colleagues who doubt her abilities.
As the trial becomes more complex, Jax must fight not only in the courtroom but also outside of it — and she realizes that victories sometimes have unexpected consequences.
The series, which premiered in 2022, is written and created by Raamla Mohamed, who is also an executive producer. Reasonable Doubt has become a staple in Hulu’s daily Top 15, making it one of the platform's most consistent drama series.
Alongside Mohamed, Kerry Washington and Pilar Savone (for Simpson Street), Larry Wilmore (Wilmore Films), Anton Cropper, and Lena Cordina are also executive producers.
