Netflix shared a photo from the set to celebrate the end of production, featuring Gordon Cormier, Miya Cech, Kiawentiio, Ian Ousley, Dallas Liu, and Maria Zhang.
After the success of the first season, the series was renewed with two additional seasons, which were filmed back-to-back. Now that season three is complete, both seasons are in the post-production phase.
Executive producer and writer Christine Boylan shared via Netflix's Tudum: “When we started on season two, we came together with three forces: integrity, hope, and joy. And here we stand, almost three years later, at the end of production with an incredibly talented and dedicated team that has embodied and exceeded those ideals. I am eternally grateful to have been part of this important, hilarious, and action-packed project that brings this epic story to life.”
The three-part storyline will conclude Aang's epic journey, in which the four nations — Water, Earth, Fire, and Air — unite to bring The Legend of Aang to a worthy conclusion.
The series is a live-action retelling of the beloved Nickelodeon animated classic, where the young Avatar Aang must learn to master the four elements to restore balance in a world threatened by the fearsome Fire Nation.
