Brilliant Minds is ending after two seasons. The series was previously removed from the regular schedule after the Olympic Games and will air its final episodes this summer, starting Wednesday, May 27.
The series, loosely based on the work of neurologist Oliver Sacks, failed to attract a large audience despite its interesting premise, averaging just over 3 million viewers, making it NBC's least-watched drama series this season.
The cancellation of Brilliant Minds fits into a broader reshuffling of NBC's programming towards the 2026-2027 season. Several other series are still awaiting a decision, while the network has also ordered a notably large number of new pilots to prepare potential successors.
Stumble, a comedy series about a college cheerleading team and their coach, played by Jenn Lyon, is also being canceled. This series ends after just one season; the final episode aired in March. With an average of 2.24 million viewers, it was also among the network's lowest-rated productions.
