This news will not come as a surprise to many viewers. Fox has confirmed that the drama series ‘Gracepoint’ will not have a second season. Despite the fact that Anna Gunn (‘Breaking Bad’) and David Tennant (‘Broadchurch’) are starring in ‘Gracepoint’, the series had one drawback from the start. The British series ‘Broadchurch’ was broadcast by the BBC in America just before ‘Gracepoint’, the American remake, premiered.
The ratings of ‘Gracepoint’ were also too low to justify a second season. Yet it seems that FOX isn’t deterred by this ‘Gracepoint’ experience, because the remake of the British series ‘Luther’ is still in the works. Maybe fans of ‘Gracepoint’ don’t have to mourn for the second season of ‘Broadchurch’ will premiere on 1 January 2015.
