A sixth season for Grantchester

The English series Grantchester has been renewed by PBS and ITV with a sixth season.

The final episode of the fifth season will air on the nineteenth of July. It has just been revealed that the series will have a sixth season on PBS and ITV. Robson Green and Tom Brittney - who portray the main characters - announced the news on the PBS Instagram account.

Grantchester is based on the novel series from James Runcie with the same name. The crime drama takes place in the fifties and follows detective Geordie Keating (Robson Green, Wire in the Blood) and reverend Will Davenport (Tom Brittney, The Five). They solve crimes in the small English town of Grantchester.
