Early renewal for Freeform comedy series Grown-ish

Junior stays in school and Freeform stays with him. The cable channel has renewed Grown-ish for a sixth season.
The Grown-ish television series is a comedy series starring Yara Shahidi, Marcus Scribner, Trevor Jackson, Diggy Simmons and Daniella Perkins.

Matthew Sato, Tara Raani, Justine Skye, Amelie Zilber, Ceyair Wright and Slick Woods also return. A spin-off of ABC's Black-ish, the series initially follows Dre and Bow Johnson's eldest daughter, Zoey (Shahidi), as she heads off to college and begins her journey into adulthood.

Grown-ish

In the fifth season, Zoey and her friends have graduated. Meanwhile, her brother Andre Johnson Jr, aka Junior (Scribner) has enrolled at Cal U and begins his own journey into adulthood.

The fifth season will continue next Wednesday, January 18.

The fifth season of Grown-ish, which airs on Wednesday evenings, has an average rating of 0.05 in the 18-49 demographic and 130,000 viewers. Compared to season four, that's 38% less in the demo and 37% less viewers in the live+same day ratings (including DVR playback until 3:00 AM).
