
Spanning nearly forty years—from the 1980s to the present—Half Man illuminates the ups and downs of Niall and Ruben's bond, from meeting as troubled teenagers to their eventual breakup as adults, including all the beautiful, painful, hilarious, and emotionally charged moments. The series explores themes of masculinity and change in a world constantly in flux.
The series was also created by Gadd (Baby Reindeer).
In addition to Gadd and Bell, the series stars Stuart Campbell, Mitchell Robertson, Neve McIntosh, Amy Manson, Philippine Velge, and Bilal Hasna. Alexandra Brodski and Eshref Reybrouck are directing.
Half Man premieres in 2026 on HBO Max (US, Latin America, Europe) and on BBC One, BBC Scotland, and BBC iPlayer (UK and Ireland).
