In Happy Face, teenage Melissa G. Moore (Ashford)’s life is turned upside down when she discovers her father is one of America’s most notorious serial killers: the Happy Face Killer (Quaid). As an adult, she decides to change her name and keep her past a secret, determined to build a life outside her father’s shadow.
After decades of no contact, he manages to re-enter her life. In a race against time, Melissa must find out if an innocent man is facing the death penalty for a crime her father committed. In the process, she not only discovers the impact her father has had on the families of his victims, but also confronts her own identity.
The eight-part drama stars Emmy nominee and Tony winner Annaleigh Ashford and Emmy and two-time Golden Globe nominee Dennis Quaid. James Wolk, Tamera Tomakili, Khiyla Aynne and Benjamin Mackey are among the returning cast.
