In season two, their Duffy Wrestling League will take the next step after a big showing in the season one finale. Mike O'Malley (Shameless (US)) is the showrunner and executive producer of the series.

Starz revealed more about the return of the series in the press release below:
"Heels returns to the ring for season two on Friday, July 28 at midnight (ET) on the STARZ app. Starring Stephen Amell (Arrow) and Alexander Ludwig (Vikings), the gripping small-town drama series is based on a wrestling league. in rural Georgia. The series will also debut linearly on STARZ at 10:00 PM ET/PT in the US and Canada on Friday, July 28, 2023.
Heels is a story about the men and women chasing their dreams in the world of small-town pro-wrestling. Set in a tight-knit community in Georgia, the series follows a family-owned wrestling promotion. Two brothers and rivals, Jack Spade (Amell) and Ace Spade (Ludwig), are at war over their late father's legacy as they work on their identities and their individual versions of success. 'Hak' ('Heel') is a common wrestling term to describe the antagonist or villain in the ring, but the line between hero and heel is much less clear for this brotherly rivalry outside the ring.
Season two kicks off after a spectacular show at the South Georgia State Fair, and the popularity of the Duffy Wrestling League is suddenly on the rise. Hoping to seize this opportunity, Jack and his cohorts prepare for a potential business deal with a new streaming service that could take them to a national stage. But the past and its tragedies threaten to disrupt everything when Ace leaves Duffy and the Dome behind, as rival promotion Florida Wrestling Dystopia's vengeful frontman Gully comes knocking.

Heels showrunner and executive producer Mike O'Malley voices Charlie Gully in the series. Michael Waldron (Executive Producer of Marvel's Loki and Producer for Rick and Morty) is the creator of the series. Christopher Donnelly, Pete Segal, Patrick Walmsley and Julie Yorn also serve as executive producers on the series. Heels is produced by O'Malley Ink and LBI Entertainment in association with Lionsgate Television for STARZ.
