AVROTROS shares teaser and start date for Het Gouden Uur season two

The second season of "The Golden Hour" is just around the corner. AVROTROS has announced when the sequel to the thrilling first season will air. The Golden Hour revolves around the first hour after a terrorist attack. It follows not only the perpetrators and victims, but also the emergency services. The main character is Detective Mardik Sardagh (Nasrdin Dchar), who himself is suspected of involvement in an attack.



The teaser for The Golden Hour season two reveals that Detective Mardik is pushing himself too far this season. While the teaser doesn't reveal much about the plot, it does reveal enough to make it clear that this will be another thrilling season.

Mardik appears to have left the Netherlands and is currently abroad, where he appears to be under pressure to commit an attack. This is particularly poignant, as in the first season he was suspected of involvement in terrorism and did everything he could to prove his innocence.

Filming for the second season wrapped in early May.

Alongside Nasrdin Dchar, Ellen Parren also returns as AIVD agent Joëlle Walters. Noortje Herlaar, Yannick de Waal, Sebastien Dewaele, Mohammed Azaay, and Charlene Sancho also star. Bobby Boermans returns to direct.

The second season of "Het gouden uur" will be available to stream for free on NPO Start starting Thursday, September 18th. AVROTROS will announce later when and on which channel the series will air. The first season is currently available on NPO Start and Netflix.
