Third season Alta Mar to premiere in early August

The third season of the Spanish Netflix original Alta Mar - which is also known as High Seas - will premiere in early August. A fourth season has already been announced. Near the end of 2019, Bambú Productions - which produces Alta Mar - indicated that production on both the third and fourth season had already begun. Production on season three has been finished and will be available on Netflix starting from the 7th of August. It is not yet known when season four will release, but it is possible to release in 2021.

Alta Mar revolves around the sisters Eva (Ivana Baquero, The Shannara Chronicles) and Carolina (Alejandra Onieva, Sotto Copertura) Villanueva. During their boat trip, various passengers mysteriously die. In the third season, the sisters head on a new journey, where they once again face a new mystery. A scientist wants to kill the passengers with a virus. Supposedly, this story is continued on into the fourth season. Season three and four will have eight episodes each, which should combine into a storyline that lasts for sixteen episodes.
