©Deadline - NetflixThe story follows Anna, portrayed by Tessa Thompson, who has withdrawn from public life. She lives in isolation, watching her friendships and career as a news anchor slowly fade away. However, when she hears about a murder in Dahlonega, the sleepy town where she grew up, she is suddenly shaken awake. Determined, she dives into the case, searching for answers.
Her involvement raises suspicion in detective Jack Harper, played by Jon Bernthal, who increasingly focuses on her while conducting his own investigation. What follows is a psychological cat-and-mouse game where it becomes clear that every story has multiple sides: his and hers, inevitably meaning someone is lying.
In addition to Thompson and Bernthal, the cast includes Pablo Schreiber, Crystal Fox, Sunita Mani, Rebecca Rittenhouse, Marin Ireland, and Poppy Liu.
Oldroyd is not only co-showrunner but also writer, director, and executive producer.
With its sultry setting, dual perspective, and strong lead actors, His & Hers promises to be an intense and layered thriller where nothing is as it seems. The limited series consists of six episodes and will be released all at once on Thursday, January 8, 2026.
