Acorn TV has renewed the Irish crime series Irish Blood, starring and produced by Alicia Silverstone, for a second season.
The six-part series Irish Blood, set in Ireland, is the most successful title in the history of Acorn TV: number 1 in viewership and new subscribers, and a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes. Season two, again featuring six hour-long episodes, will begin production in Ireland in early 2026.

Irish Blood

In the first season, viewers followed Fiona Fox (Alicia Silverstone) as she travels to Ireland to uncover the truth about her father and discovers that his supposed abandonment of her and her mother was based on a lie intended to protect them from his criminal dealings.

Alongside Silverstone, the cast includes Jason O'Mara, Wendy Crewson, Dearbhla Molloy, Simone Kirby, Ruth Codd, and Leonardo Taiwo.

“It means so much to continue this journey with a character I love. Thanks to everyone who watched and supported, and to the phenomenal Irish crew and actors who made working there such a joy, and to the entire team behind this series,” said Silverstone in a statement. “We are so thrilled to have found an engaged audience that has enjoyed this journey from beginning to end.”

“Thanks to Alicia Silverstone and everything she has contributed to this series, both as a star and executive producer, from the moment it was just an idea to becoming the most successful series in the history of Acorn TV,” said Rob Fox, Executive Vice President of Production at AMC Networks, who oversees Acorn TV programming.
