The creepy prequel series IT: Welcome to Derry, based on Stephen King's iconic horror universe, will debut on HBO and HBO Max in October. A new teaser for
IT: Welcome to Derry was unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con, starring Taylor Paige as a young woman who moves to the small town of Derry with her husband just as a dark force begins making children disappear. Although Pennywise (played again by

The series takes place in the film universe created by
Andy Muschietti, whose two films have grossed over $1.17 billion worldwide. Muschietti directs multiple episodes and developed the series with
Barbara Muschietti and
Jason Fuchs, who also serves as co-showrunner.
The cast includes:
Taylour Paige,
Jovan Adepo,
Chris Chalk,
James Remar,
Stephen Rider,
Madeleine Stowe,
Rudy Mancuso, and
Bill Skarsgard.

I'm also curious about this series. Pennywise is at his best when he's rarely seen, kind of like the shark in Jaws. That's why the second film was a bit weaker. I'm curious to see how they'll address that here.
