Netflix has revealed the international release date for the musical dramedy Julie and the Phantoms. Next to that, the first teaser has also been released. It is now known that Madison Reyes will be portraying the main character in the series starting from the 10th of September. She will portray a high school student, who reconnects with her passion for music, which she originally lost when her mom passed away. When three ghosts of artists in 1995 appear in the studio of her mother, her passion returns. Together, they form a new band called
Julie and the Phantoms.
Booboo Steward (
Descendants: Wicked World), Cheyenne Jackson (
American Horror Story), Carlos Ponce (
Devious Maids), Sonny Bustamante (
Law & Order: True Crime), Jadah Marie (Mann & Wife), Sacha Carlson (
American Housewife) and Savannah Lee May (Gossip Girl (2020)) will also portray characters in the new series. It was conceived by Kenny Ortega (
Gilmore Girls). Dan Cross (Pair of Kings) and David Hoge (The Thunermans) will serve as showrunners.
