Based on the books by Luke Jennings, Killing Eve revolves around Villanelle (Jodie Comer), a psychopathic assassin and Eve (Sandra Oh), the woman charged with prosecuting her. Eve is a super smart security agent. Her boring office job does not realize her dreams of becoming a spy. Villanelle is an elegant, talented killer, who clings to the luxury she can afford through her violent profession. The two fanatic, intelligent women, both obsessed with each other, go head to head in this legendary game of cat and mouse.
Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer won an Emmy and a Golden Globe in 2019 for their roles in Killing Eve. The third season of Killing Eve can be seen this spring, but the date is not yet known. BBC America has already announced that a fourth season will follow. The channel announced that it has enormous confidence in the series. "Killing Eve won at every major award ceremony and it is the fastest growing series on American television in six years," said Sarah Barnett, director of AMC Networks Entertainment Group, which includes BBC America. The fourth season will appear in 2021.
