The animated comedy, which was canceled by FOX in 2009 after thirteen seasons and 259 episodes, will soon return to Hulu. The older seasons are also available on the streaming service.
King of the Hill, created by Mike Judge and Greg Daniels, premiered in 1997 and is sung by Judge, Kathy Najimy, Pamela Adlon, Johnny Hardwick, Stephen Root, Brittany Murphy, Toby Huss, David Herman, Ashley Gardner, Lauren Tom and Breckin Meyer.
Set in the fictional town of Arlen, Texas, the story follows the lives of the Hill family - propane salesman Hank (Judge), his wife Peggy (Najimy), and their only child, Bobby (Adlon). Hank's friends, such as conspiracy theorist Dale (Hardwick), military barber Bill (Root), and the cool but unintelligible Boomhauer (Judge), along with Peggy's friends Minh (Tom) and meteorologist Nancy (Gardner), and Bobby's girlfriend Connie (Tom) help the Hills to navigate in a changing world.
The revival has reportedly been in the works since the 2017 San Francisco Sketchfest, where Judge and Daniels reconnected with the cast and celebrated the series' 20th anniversary.
Judge, Najimy, Root, Adlon, Hardwick, and Tom are among the voice actors returning for the Hulu revival. Huss, who included Kahn Souphanousinphone, Sr. played is conspicuously absent from the list. Also missing is Brittany Murphy, who played cousin Luanne and died in 2009. It's unclear if these actors' characters won't appear in the revival, or if they'll be recast.
Saladin Patterson will serve as showrunner and executive producer. Judge and Daniels will executive produce through their Bandera Entertainment. 3 Arts' Michael Rotenberg and Howard Klein will also executive produce, along with Bandera's Dustin Davis.

A premiere date for King of the Hill's return will be announced at a later date.
