Hulu Reveals Launch Date and First Look at King of the Hill Revival

Hulu has set a date for the return to Arlen, Texas, with Bobby all grown up and Hank back from Saudi Arabia in season fourteen of the animated series.
After fifteen years, the beloved animated series King of the Hill is officially returning to Hulu with an all-new season that reflects the story’s time jump. The revival was announced for early 2023.

In this fourteenth series, life in Arlen, Texas has clearly changed. The official description from Hulu reads:

"After years of working as propane gas farmers in Saudi Arabia to earn their pension, Hank and Peggy Hill return to a changed Arlen and try to reconnect with old friends Dale, Boomhauer and Bill. Meanwhile, Bobby Hill is living his dream as a chef in Dallas and enjoying his twenties with his former classmates Connie, Joseph and Chane."

An opening sequence featuring a time-lapse of the classic alley setting and the familiar intro by The Refreshments shows the Hills temporarily moving out of their home – and eventually returning. Watch the video below.

Much of the series’ original voice cast, including co-creator Mike Judge, Kathy Najimy, Pamela Adlon, Johnny Hardwick, Stephen Root, Lauren Tom and Toby Huss, are returning for season fourteen. Hardwick, who voiced Hank’s (Judge) conspiracy theorist Dale Gribble, passed away in August 2023 after doing some voice work for the revival. Huss took over the role of Dale for the remainder of the season.

Nostalgic, but with a modern edge, this revival looks set to please both longtime fans and new viewers. King of the Hill premieres Friday, August 1, 2025, with ten episodes.
