Kärlek & anarki - Complete series

Kärlek & anarki is a witty Swedish series about a woman in mental turmoil. Be surprised by the dynamics at a publishing office in Stockholm.
Kärlek & Anarki is about the fictional publishing house Lund & Lagerstädt. The publishing house is unsure how to proceed. Digitize, innovate or continue with the old way of working? To answer this question, consultant Sofie Rydgen is hired. She is portrayed beautifully but sometimes crazy by Ida Engvoll (Rebecka Martinsson). In addition to Sofie, we see even more entertaining characters such as Friedrich, the stiff-necked, unfashionable but honest defender of art with the capital K who has no interest in innovation. There is also the spineless publisher Ronny, who blows with all the winds. And of course Max, the young IT guy. Something arises between him and Sofie that you could describe as, well, exciting playfulness.

It's not a dull office

The office is anything but boring like when a 'clitpic' ends up on the Instagram page of the venerable publishing house. A derailed literary cruise in which a respectable writer and the interviewer-publisher end up in bed afterward. A sensitivity consultant who is ultimately chased away with tar and feathers. And above all: escalating 'challenges' games between Sofie and Max, after he catches her masturbating in the office. Rarely have yellow post-its been used as erotically as here.

It is quite a special series with an unpredictable story. How good and liberating can it be to be crazy every now and then? Such as with the challenges that Max presents her. Sofie is very consistent in this. When he asks her to walk backwards for a whole day, she does so even at home, when no one sees her. The chemistry between Sofie and Max jumps off the screen. But Sofie is above all a crazy woman, who nevertheless exudes an incredible amount of self-confidence. Extremely talented, she always manages to talk her way out of it.

While the first season mainly relies on absurdism, the second season has a darker edge. Here we see how Sofie tries to come to terms with the death of her father.

Translated, this Swedish series is called Love and Anarchy. Well, that's exactly right. There are so many series where you already know exactly what is going to happen because the makers adhere neatly to the rules of the genre. With this series you don't know exactly what you are watching, so as a viewer you have to pay close attention.

Watch this funny and moving series on Netflix.
