Richard Dysart, known as Leland McKenzie from ‘L.A. Law’ (1986-1994), died last Sunday at his home in Santa Monica. He died, according to The Hollywood Reporter, of a lung disease.
Dysart got an Emmy Award in 1992 for his role in ‘L.A. Law’, after being nominated three times before. He also played a role in the series ‘Spawn’ from 1997 to 1999. Dysart already started his career in the 1950s and has also played on Broadway and in many films. His last role was in ‘L.A. Law’: The Movie from 2002.
Dysart is survived by his wife, stepson, a brother and two grandchildren. Richard Dysart was 86 years old.
