The new episodes not only feature returning stars Billy Bob Thornton, Demi Moore, Andy Garcia, and Ali Larter, but also add Sam Elliott to the cast. Elliott previously collaborated with Taylor Sheridan in 1883.
The first season of Landman broke records for Paramount+ with 35 million global streams and became the platform's most-watched original series. The rapid return of season two fits into Sheridan's current production flow, which is now clearly tightly organized—a contrast to the past, where Yellowstone (2018) ran behind schedule.
The story is set in the oil world of West Texas, where boomtowns provide the backdrop for a modern fairy tale of greed and power. The series describes a dynamic between tough oil workers and billionaires that causes an economic and geopolitical earthquake, with major consequences for the climate and society.
Thornton, who received a Golden Globe nomination for his role, plays a fixer for an oil company. He also reprises his role in the second season, starring Jacob Lofland, Michelle Randolph, Paulina Chavez, Kayla Wallace, Mark Collie, James Jordan, and Colm Feore.
Landman season two premieres Sunday, November 16th on Paramount+. Watch a promo below.
