Release date second season L.A.'s Finest delayed

Release date second season L.A.'s Finest delayed

Spectrum has delayed the season till later this year.
The second season of the Bad Boys spin-off was actually supposed to start yesterday. It isn't entirely clear why Spectrum has delayed the second season. Recently, FOX bought the distribution rights of the series and the first season is set to premiere there later this year. This could've affected Spectrum. Another reason could be the current situation going on the US. Other police television series, such as Cops and Live PD: Police Patrol, were also delayed for the latter reason.

L.A.'s finest revolves around former DEA agent Syd Burnett (Gabrielle Union, The Lion Guard), who starts over as an LAPD detective. She works alongside Nancy McKenna (Jessica Alba, The Spoils of Babylon), a working mother. The two have a completely different lifestyle and perspective on life, but they're both the best at their job.

I can't imagine this series has been postponed due to the current situation in America. The series stars an African-American actress and an actress with a Latin American background in the lead roles. So that's just a bit of guesswork. Those other shows are about the real police in America, so I understand that that is a sensitive issue now.

As usual, everything goes wild again and the big players are tumbling over each other again in being politically correct. For example, I just read that HBO Max "Gone with the Wind" has removed the 1938 movie classic, (with the 1st Oscar for "a person of color" (Hattie McDaniel)) because this film could be potentially offensive due to racism. The BBC has removed the series "Little Britain" from its platform for the same reason. Never seen, but apparently also offensive now. Anyway, the bottom will not be in sight yet. But remember, anyone who tries to erase history cannot learn more from it either ...

Little Brittain was also on Netflix and that has removed it too. See if Netflix will also use this standard with other series / shows / films on their platform. Friends still make some jokes about Gays, Kevin Hart's tweets from the past about Gays, which cost him the Oscars, were also not friendly, curious if Netflix will remove his shows. In the new Netflix series #blackAF, white, sorry white people are also portrayed as idiots, but it will soon have a second season. Look forward to all those new pilots of series in which the most diverse cast is forced to be collected. Not because of the story, but purely to be PC. Usually those series are canceled after a handful of episodes because the masses are not interested in them.

I also find the removal of old films and series ridiculous. They were (often) made in a different time. Little Britain is all about two white people making fun of two black people. Admittedly, that is exactly the other way around in the movie White Chicks. There, two black men dress up as two white men. Then you can say that black people should not take much offense at it, we do not do that the other way around and as a white person we may laugh about that, but the difference is in the fact that black people almost daily deal with racism. some form and we white people don't. So if that were the case with us (daily racism), then I wonder how much longer we can laugh at such series or films.

If you are not allowed to laugh about anything anymore, because there is always someone who does not like it, the world is already lost. If you are going to censor everything that could possibly hurt someone, you can stop the subject of history and there will soon be no more statues in the public space. Let's all be a bit normal together. PS I am not white. I am white. Snow is white.
