Last Man Standing will have a ninth season. Even though the eighth season wasn't that well-watched, the scripted series is still one of the best-watched series on FOX in the 2019-2020 season. The ninth season will probably release in 2021, but that also depends on the measures taken against the coronavirus.

The comedy series revolves around Mike Baxter (Tim Allen, Home Improvement), marketing director of the Outdoor Man sports stores. It can be quite difficult for Mike to stand his ground. His wife, Vanessa, is working a lot more, so Mike has to do more household chores and help to raise his three daughters.
