FX’s ‘Louie’ returns

Fans of FX pay attention; ‘Louie’ will return to your small screen. The comedy won an Emmy for Outstanding Writing in a Comedy Series in 2012 and scored the first best nomination for best comedy series for a standard cable network. Last year there was no Emmy love for ‘Louie’ because FX announced that ‘Louie’ would go on a break for a year. But now FX has announced that the fourth season of the acclaimed series will air with two episodes on May 5th. FX had ordered thirteen episodes but lead actor Louie C.K. handed in an extra fourteen episode.

When FX announced that ‘Louie’ would have a break for a year, FX President John Landgraf called the first three seasons a trilogy and Louie C.K. added that he hoped that the show would get nine seasons.

Multitalented C.K. has been busy in the meantime; he signed a general deal with FX Productions in December, he wrote together with Zach Galifianakis a comedy (FX ordered a pilot in January) and he performed in his one-man shows. He also will present ‘Saturday Night Live’ for the second time on March 29th.
