The series focuses on Atticus Freeman (Jonathan Majors, When We Rise). He travels through the racist America of the fifties, alongside his best friend Letitia (Jurnee Smollett-Bell, True Blood) and his Uncle, George (Courtney B. Vance, Genius). He's looking for his father (Michael Kenneth Williams, Boardwalk Empire). Lovecraft Country is based on the book with the same name from Matt Ruff, which released in 2016.
The series will be produced by Misha Green, who also serves as showrunner. Other producers are J.J. Abrams, Jordan Peele, Bill Carraro, Yann Demange (director first episode), Daniel Sackheim (director second and third episode) and David Knoller. Down below, you can watch the teaser.
