MacGruber started off as a Saturday Night Live sketch back in 1985, and was adapted into a movie in 2010. Peacock has now ordered eight episodes of a reboot with the same name. In the reboot, MacGruber will have to take down a mysterious villain from the past. Down below, you can watch the announcement.
Will Forte (The Last Man on Earth) will once again portray MacGruber. Next to that, he will also co-write the series and serve as executive producer. Supposedly, Ryan Philippe (Shooter (2016)) and Kristen Wiig (The Last Man on Earth) - who both had leading roles in the movie - are still discussing a possible return.
