Apple TV reveals premiere date and first-look photos for Margo's Got Money Troubles

Apple TV has released the first images of Margo's Got Money Troubles, the new drama series set to premiere in 2026.
The series Margo's Got Money Troubles is based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Rufi Thorpe and follows Elle Fanning and Michelle Pfeiffer as a complex mother-daughter duo. In 2024, it was announced that Nick Offerman also joined the cast; he plays Jinx, Margo's father.

The additional cast includes Nicole Kidman, Greg Kinnear, Michael Angarano, Thaddea Graham, Lindsey Normington, Marcia Gay Harden, and Rico Nasty.

According to the official description, the story is a bold, heartwarming, and humorous family drama about Margo, a budding writer and former student trying to cope with a newborn baby, mounting bills, and fewer ways to pay them. Her world is shaped by her mother— a former Hooters waitress — and her father, a former professional wrestler.

The series is created by David E. Kelley, who serves as showrunner and writer and joins Elle and Dakota Fanning, Nicole Kidman, and Rufi Thorpe as executive producers.

Dearbhla Walsh directs the pilot and is also involved as an executive producer. The project marks the latest collaboration between Kelley and Apple TV+, following the Emmy-nominated Presumed Innocent, which is currently continuing with a second season.

Margo's Got Money Troubles premieres on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, with three episodes; thereafter, a new episode will air every Wednesday until May 20, 2026. Check out more first-look photos below.

The combination of Elle Fanning and Michelle Pfeiffer as mother and daughter alone is intriguing, as their playing styles are so different that they create a particularly exciting chemistry.
